Support the communication development of students as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in a vibrant school setting in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. This contract position offers an opportunity to work on-site full-time, delivering essential speech services while collaborating with skilled Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs). Two roles are available: one supporting a virtual SLP by facilitating speech sessions on-site, and the other providing direct speech therapy to students within a traditional caseload.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting the virtual SLP in delivering speech therapy sessions in person.
- Providing direct speech-language services tailored to individual student needs.
- Collaborating with educators and therapists to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
- Maintaining accurate documentation and progress reports for each student.
- Supporting students typically in elementary school age groups within the assigned school.
Qualifications:
- Active Florida Department of Health (DOH) Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) licensure.
- Previous experience in school-based speech-language services preferred.
- Ability to work full time, 7 hours per day, 35 hours per week, on-site.
- Successful completion of fingerprint clearance through the AHCA Clearinghouse or willingness to undergo new fingerprinting if required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students and school staff.
