Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license or certification, eligible for work in schools.
- Proficiency in assisting speech-language pathologists with therapy and documentation.
- Experience working with school-aged children, preferably within a school or educational environment.
- Strong communication and organization skills to maintain accurate records and support student progress.
- Ability to adapt materials and activities for individual or group student needs.
- Commitment to upholding ethical standards and fostering an inclusive learning atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with supervising speech-language pathologist to deliver direct therapy services.
- Implement individualized education program (IEP) goals under supervision.
- Support students with speech, language, and communication needs through thoughtfully designed interventions.
- Contribute to progress monitoring and maintain detailed session data and logs.
- Prepare materials and resources to reinforce language and communication skills in the classroom.
- Participate in meetings, in-services, and school-wide initiatives as needed.
