School-Based Speech Language Pathologist Assistant - Olathe, CO

This role provides critical services for three elementary schools and offers specialized support for one high school student utilizing an AAC device for approximately 90 minutes each month. This position is ideal for compassionate, driven SLPAs ready to engage with students and collaborate closely with school staff. The assignment begins ASAP and continues through May 21, 2027, requiring at least three days per week on-site.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Colorado SLPA license (please provide a screenshot when applying)
- Experience or strong interest in working within school settings, particularly with elementary-age children
- Comfortable and knowledgeable supporting assistive technology users, especially AAC devices
- Collaborative spirit and ability to coordinate with a multidisciplinary team
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Previous experience as an SLPA in a school environment preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language interventions under the supervision of a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Assist in developing and implementing individualized plans for students across the designated schools
- Provide targeted AAC device support and direct service to the high school student
- Collect data, document student progress, and maintain accurate records
- Communicate regularly with supervising SLP, teachers, families, and other staff
- Uphold all state licensure requirements and ethical practices
