Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) — Newark, DE
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join a supportive K–12 school team in Newark, Delaware for the 2026–2027 school year.
This is a full-time opportunity offering 35–40 hours per week, a consistent school-based schedule, and the opportunity to work with students across elementary, middle, and high school settings.

Grade Levels: K–12
Position: Full-time School-Based SLPA
Supervision: Supervision provided by a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
Spanish: Spanish-speaking candidates are a plus, but not required
Schedule
School hours vary by grade level:
Elementary: 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
Middle & High School: 6:45 AM–2:45 PM
The school is flexible with scheduling within these hours based on the needs of the students, meetings, and overall schedule. A schedule around 7:30 AM–3:30 PM may be possible, or another mutually agreed-upon schedule can be arranged.
Position Overview
The SLPA will provide speech and language services to students across the K–12 population under the supervision of a licensed SLP. This role is an excellent opportunity for an SLPA who enjoys working with children and adolescents and wants to make a meaningful impact in a school-based environment.
You will collaborate with the supervising SLP, teachers, school staff, and families to support students' individual communication goals and promote progress throughout the school year.
Responsibilities
Provide speech and language therapy services under the supervision of an SLP
Implement individualized treatment activities and therapy plans
Work with students across elementary, middle, and high school grade levels
Track student progress and maintain accurate documentation
Collaborate with teachers, families, and school staff
Support students in meeting their speech, language, and communication goals
Participate in IEP-related activities as appropriate to the role
Communicate regularly with the supervising SLP regarding student progress and needs
Qualifications
Appropriate SLPA credentials and eligibility to practice in Delaware
Experience working with children or in a school setting is preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work collaboratively with an SLP and school-based team
Reliable, professional, and compassionate approach to working with students
Spanish language skills are a plus, but not required
