An opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support students within a K-12 school setting in Salinas, CA. This full-time, contract position spans the current school year with responsibilities designed to assist speech-language pathologists in delivering high-quality therapy services and maintaining compliance with educational regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support compliance with regulatory and reimbursement requirements for speech therapy services
- Assist in preparing therapy materials and maintaining related equipment
- Perform clerical duties including maintaining anecdotal notes, charts, and tracking student progress data
- Participate in IEP meetings or planning sessions as appropriate
- Collect informal documentation and data to monitor and improve program quality
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid California Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license required
- Experience working in K-12 school settings preferred
- Bilingual proficiency is highly preferred to support diverse student populations
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with speech-language pathologists, educators, and families
Location and Schedule:
- Position is onsite in Salinas, California
- Full-time schedule, approximately 30 hours per week
- Contract duration through June 4, 2026
