An Early Childhood School in Boston, MA, is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide support during a temporary MAT leave. This contract position offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic educational environment, supporting young learners with speech and language development under the supervision of a licensed speech-language pathologist.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist speech-language pathologists in delivering targeted speech and language intervention to early childhood students.
- Conduct therapy sessions and maintain accurate session notes and student progress documentation.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and staff to implement communication strategies.
- Monitor and report student responses to therapy activities to guide further treatment.
- Ensure compliance with all school policies and speech therapy protocols.
Desired Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an SLPA in a school or early childhood setting.
- Familiarity with speech and language disorders commonly found in young children.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills suitable for working with children, families, and school staff.
