An opportunity is available for a full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support K-12 students, primarily focusing on elementary and middle school caseloads. This contract position spans the current school year and involves working across 2-3 school sites within the Midlothian, VA area. The role requires a motivated professional ready to start as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed speech-language pathologists in providing speech and language therapy services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
- Manage caseload with a focus on elementary and middle school students, implementing individualized treatment plans.
- Conduct screenings, monitor student progress, and document therapy sessions in compliance with school policies.
- Collaborate with teaching staff, parents, and other professionals to support student communication needs.
- Support group and individual therapy sessions across multiple school sites.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA).
- Experience working in school settings preferred.
