Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in Chowchilla, CA
A full-time, full school year opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support preschool students within an educational setting. This contract position is based in Chowchilla, CA, with travel required to multiple preschool sites and home visits.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing speech-language support at 5-6 preschool sites primarily in the mornings
- Conducting afternoon home visits with preschool students receiving homebound instruction
- Facilitating speech and language evaluations
- Assisting with Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and implementation
- Collaborating closely with a supervising Speech-Language Pathologist
- Managing caseloads that include 7 homebound preschool children with flexible scheduling
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in school settings preferred
- Ability to travel to multiple sites; mileage reimbursement available for commuting candidates
- Strong communication skills and comfort with homebound visits
- Bilingual Spanish-speaking candidates are highly desired
- Valid SLPA credential/license required
