Take on a meaningful contract assignment supporting K-12 students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant. In this dynamic position, you'll collaborate with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to serve students across up to three assigned schools, all within close proximity. With the flexibility to craft your own weekly schedule, you'll have the autonomy to determine your daily assignments and maximize your impact.
Key Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited SLPA program and state licensure in Kansas
- Previous experience providing speech-language support to students is preferred
- Strong organizational skills and self-direction, with the ability to independently manage tasks and itineraries
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with SLPs, teachers, and school staff
- Reliable transportation to commute between school sites as needed
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct communication therapy under the guidance of an SLP
- Support SLPs by managing larger caseloads and ensuring every student receives quality services
- Collect, track, and report data to aid in the progression of student treatment plans
- Assist with documentation, material preparation, and the implementation of therapy strategies
- Actively contribute to a positive and collaborative learning environment for students and staff
