Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program
- Active SLPA licensure in the state or eligibility to obtain it
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric healthcare setting preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary education team
- Familiarity with IEPs and case documentation is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement treatment plans designed by supervising Speech-Language Pathologists
- Directly support students in individual or small group sessions to address communication goals
- Assist in preparing therapy materials and documenting student progress
- Participate in team meetings, supporting staff with observations and input as needed
- Maintain thorough records of sessions, goals, and outcomes for compliance
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to generalize therapy within classroom settings
