School Speech Language Pathologist Assistant | Kingwood, Texas
Energize your career as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant supporting elementary-aged students in a vibrant school setting near Kingwood, TX! This contract position starts August 10, 2026, and continues through May 28, 2027. Enjoy a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, working 37 hours per week as you help young learners reach important communication milestones.
Ideal candidates will have a passion for making a difference in students’ lives by delivering direct and indirect speech-language services under the supervision of a licensed SLP. Qualifications:
- Current TX Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license
- Previous experience in an educational or pediatric setting preferred
- Familiarity with elementary school-aged children
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and support staff
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to upholding ethical and professional standards
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement therapy plans developed by supervising SLPs for elementary students
- Provide individual and small group speech-language services within the school setting
- Collect and document data on student progress
- Assist in the preparation of materials and resources for therapy sessions
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams as needed
- Support a positive and inclusive learning environment
