Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in Kernersville, NC

Qualifications & Experience:
- Associate’s degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program
- Active state license or eligibility for licensure as an SLPA
- Prior experience working with children in an educational or therapy-based setting is preferred
- Strong understanding of communication disorders in pediatric populations
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
- Ability to implement therapy plans as directed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students in alignment with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Support the Speech-Language Pathologist in preparing materials and setting up therapy sessions
- Track and document student progress; maintain accurate records according to school and legal guidelines
- Work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and families to promote student success
- Participate in meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities as needed
- Adapt activities and materials to fit the varying needs of individual students
