You'll collaborate with a dedicated multi-disciplinary team, helping to implement and deliver individualized and group therapy sessions as outlined in students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Texas SLPA license or eligibility to obtain prior to starting
- Experience in school-based settings preferred, but newly licensed candidates encouraged to apply
- Familiarity with speech and language therapy techniques and documentation practices in educational environments
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with supervising SLPs, teachers, and families
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Provide therapy and support to students under supervision of a licensed SLP, following prescribed intervention plans
- Collect data on student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Assist with administering screening tools and assessments as directed
- Contribute to IEP meetings by sharing student progress and insights
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and ongoing training
- Support classroom teachers with strategies and resources for communication needs
