Located in Jacksonville, FL, this opportunity is for two full-time Speech Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPAs) supporting students within public schools. These contract positions run ASAP through May 28, 2026, within Duval County Public Schools and require on-site work only.
Both positions involve providing speech services to school-aged children, with slightly different roles. One SLPA will support a virtual Speech Language Pathologist by facilitating speech services on campus, while the other will carry a traditional caseload delivering direct speech therapy. The workweek is 35 hours, typically 7 hours per day, with assignment to one school site.
Qualifications and experience needed include:
- Active Florida Department of Health SLPA licensure
- Experience in school-based speech-language services
- Ability to provide direct and/or facilitative speech therapy services
- Completion and clearance of fingerprint background check in accordance with Florida school district requirements
- Familiarity with required credentialing such as JLA badge application process
Responsibilities include supporting speech-language programs on site, working closely with speech pathologists and educational staff, and delivering interventions tailored to student needs.
