Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in Humble, TX
Step into a rewarding role supporting elementary-aged students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for the upcoming school year. You’ll work on a contract basis, bringing your expertise to help young learners thrive in a school environment.
This position begins August 10, 2026, and runs through May 28, 2027, with a schedule of 37 hours per week across five days. Your contributions will have a meaningful impact on students’ communication skills, creating positive change each day.
Qualifications:
- Valid Texas SLPA credential
- Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Passion for working with elementary-age children
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary educational team
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement treatment plans developed by a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
- Deliver direct intervention services to elementary-aged students
- Track and document student progress, maintaining accurate records
- Assist with screenings, assessments, and preparation of therapy materials
- Communicate regularly with teachers, staff, and families as needed
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to IEP development
