Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active SLPA licensure required (Virginia state or eligible)
- Previous experience in a school environment is preferred, but open to new graduates with strong clinical backgrounds
- Demonstrated knowledge of speech and language development in children and adolescents
- Strong organization and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with supervising SLPs, staff, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized speech and language therapy programs under the direction of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
- Deliver sessions one-on-one or in small groups, adapting activities as needed for each student’s abilities
- Collect data and track student progress towards IEP goals
- Assist with documentation, progress reporting, and communication with teaching staff and families
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive, collaborative learning environment
