Speech Language Pathologist Assistant in Glastonbury, CT
Step into a rewarding school-based opportunity for Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA) during the 2026-2027 academic year! You’ll collaborate with the Special Education team, serving a diverse student population and potentially covering multiple sites. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about fostering communication skills and making a meaningful difference in students’ academic and social success.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid SLPA license in Connecticut, or eligibility to obtain.
- Previous school-based or pediatric SLPA experience preferred.
- Understanding of IEPs and ability to implement therapy plans designed by a licensed SLP.
- Excellent time management and organization skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work productively on multidisciplinary teams.
- Adaptable to working with a variety of age groups (K-12) and traveling between campuses if needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy services to students under SLP supervision.
- Support implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and treatment protocols.
- Collect, document, and report student progress data.
- Prepare materials, schedule, and organize sessions as needed.
- Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development activities.
