A full-time Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) position is available in Fort Myers, FL, supporting students across multiple elementary schools. The assignment includes working two days per week at one elementary school and one day per week at another nearby location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist speech-language pathologists in implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to students’ specific communication needs.
- Deliver direct speech therapy services to children under supervision.
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records as required.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to support student success.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Florida Department of Health SLPA license is mandatory.
- Previous fingerprint clearance via AHCA Clearinghouse preferred or willingness to complete fingerprinting and obtain a JLA badge.
- Experience working with school-aged children is highly desirable.
- Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 50-55 students effectively.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
