Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in California
- Experience working with children or within school settings strongly preferred
- Skills in implementing speech and language intervention plans under the supervision of an SLP
- Ability to document progress and maintain accurate student records
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Compassion, patience, and adaptability to diverse student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and small-group speech and language services to students as directed by supervising Speech-Language Pathologist
- Assist in the development and implementation of intervention strategies for students with communication disorders
- Prepare and utilize instructional materials and resources for speech therapy sessions
- Collect and document data on student progress, assisting with reporting and compliance requirements
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student learning and carry over of skills within the classroom
- Participate in staff meetings, training opportunities, and contribute to a positive, inclusive environment
