Speech & Language Pathology Assistant in San Marcos, CA
A full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) opportunity is available within a middle school setting in San Marcos, CA. This contract position offers 37.5 hours per week, supporting a diverse caseload of middle school students. The role requires an immediate start and will continue through the end of the current school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language support to middle school students under the supervision of a certified Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans to address communication disorders.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
- Collaborate with educators and families to support student goals and facilitate effective communication strategies.
- Participate in meetings and contribute to the development of communication interventions suited to the school environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid certification/licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant.
- Experience working in school-based settings, preferably with middle school-aged children.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is highly desired to support a diverse student population.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
