Speech Therapist Assistant in Tracy, CA
Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting K-12 students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant for the current school year. If you are ready to put your SLPA skills to use in a collaborative and student-focused environment, this position offers the chance to work with an engaged caseload of approximately 40 students, guiding them toward meaningful communication milestones. The assignment starts as soon as possible and runs through June 8th, providing steady, full-time hours at 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
Qualifications:
- Active state license required for practice as an SLPA in California
- Previous experience in a school-based setting or with pediatric populations is a plus
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, team-oriented atmosphere
- Strong organizational and communication abilities
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect speech and language support services for K-12 students
- Implement therapy plans developed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist
- Collect and maintain accurate data regarding student progress
- Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and families about student needs and progress
- Adapt approaches and materials to fit the diverse needs of students across multiple grades
