Speech Language Pathologist Assistant in Cypress, TX

Make an impact as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) supporting two campuses in East Side Houston. This contract role is ideal for licensed SLPAs with proven school-based experience and the flexibility to commute reliably between both locations. Candidates will work on-site at Furr High School and Edison Middle School, collaborating closely with students and staff to deliver high-quality speech and language services.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Texas SLPA license in hand (must provide a screenshot for submission)
- Demonstrated school-based experience as an SLPA
- Ability to be on-site daily; remote arrangements are not available
- Reliable personal transportation and willingness to commute confidently between two specific campuses
- Commitment to complete required HISD fingerprinting (within three days of contract signing)
- Must provide confirmation of commute ability before consideration
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language intervention services to students, following individualized education plans
- Support collaborating speech-language pathologists with documentation, assessments, and progress reporting
- Work alongside teachers, families, and support staff to create a supportive educational environment
- Maintain accurate student records and data consistent with school and district standards
- Travel between assigned campuses as needed to meet the needs of all scheduled students
