What We Seek:
- Valid Texas SLPA license required at application—licensure supervision hours are not available for this assignment.
- Proven school-based experience as an SLPA.
- Comfortable working on-site and able to commute reliably between Furr High School, Edison Middle School, and Holland Middle School.
- Prepared to complete HISD fingerprinting within the first 3 days of onboarding.
- Must supply a laptop for professional use; reimbursement for this expense will be provided.
- Strong time-management skills and flexibility to work at multiple campuses.
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver direct and indirect speech-language support services to students under direction of a supervising SLP.
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and caregivers to ensure integration of therapy with academic goals.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports on student outcomes.
- Provide consistent follow-through while supporting IEP goals across campuses.
- Support generalization of therapy targets in classroom and school settings.
This position runs from ASAP through May 28, 2027. Candidates able to start promptly and commit through the end of the school year are sought after.
