Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in Copperas Cove, TX
Step into a rewarding contract role helping K-12 students reach their full potential as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a supportive educational environment. Multiple positions are available for the upcoming 26/27 school year, offering the opportunity to work alongside supervising Speech-Language Pathologists at various school locations. This structure ensures close, collaborative supervision and manageable caseloads of approximately 60 students per SLPA.
Successful candidates will work a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, supporting students across a diverse range of grade levels and needs. You'll become part of a cohesive team striving for excellence in student communication services throughout the district.
What You’ll Bring:
- Active SLPA License valid in the state of Texas
- Prior experience with school-aged children (preferred, not required)
- Effective communication, collaboration, and organization skills
- Enthusiasm for working in diverse educational settings and commitment to student growth
Key Responsibilities:
- Directly implement speech and language therapy activities as developed by the supervising SLP
- Track student progress, document sessions, and maintain clear records
- Assist with IEP documentation and reporting under the guidance of the supervising SLP
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to promote student success
- Participate in ongoing learning, supervision, and professional development
