A full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position is available near Madera, CA, serving multiple preschool sites and conducting home visits. This role involves supporting young learners across 5-6 preschool locations in the mornings and facilitating afternoon home visits, evaluations, and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). The position is based in Chowchilla, CA, with an itinerant schedule designed to accommodate a dynamic and impactful caseload.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language support to preschool children across multiple school sites.
- Conduct home visits for seven homebound preschool children, coordinating flexible scheduling with families.
- Facilitate evaluations and actively participate in the development and implementation of IEPs.
- Collaborate closely with families, educators, and the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
- Maintain detailed documentation and comply with relevant regulations and guidelines.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Previous experience working in school settings preferred.
- Bilingual Spanish skills are preferred to enhance communication with families.
- Comfortable with an itinerant role and flexible scheduling.
- Ability to conduct home visits confidently and respectfully.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Willingness to commute with mileage reimbursement available.
Location: Chowchilla, CA, with travel to several preschool sites and home visits within the surrounding area near Madera, CA.
