Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Completion of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) program and active SLPA licensure for the state.
- Previous experience in school settings or with pediatric populations preferred.
- Solid understanding of speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Ability to follow therapy plans under the supervision of a licensed SLP.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative team approach.
- Adaptable, organized, and committed to student growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy sessions to students, as directed by supervising SLP.
- Implement specialized therapy techniques and document student progress.
- Assist with developing and modifying instructional materials to support student goals.
- Maintain regular communication with SLP, educators, and parents regarding student needs and progress.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) as appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with all school policies and federal/state regulations regarding special education services.
