Qualifications & Experience
- Associate’s degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program (or equivalent)
- Active SLPA license or eligibility to obtain one in the state
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred, but recent graduates are encouraged to apply
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with supervising Speech-Language Pathologists and other interdisciplinary team members
- A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct therapy services to students as prescribed by the supervising SLP, including articulation, language, fluency, and social communication interventions
- Follow individualized education plans (IEPs) and treatment protocols, ensuring documentation and progress notes are accurately maintained
- Assist in screening and informal assessments under the direction of the supervising SLP
- Provide support in preparing therapy materials and adapting activities for various student needs
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and school-related functions as directed
