A full-time School-based Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position is available for the upcoming 24-25 school year. This role supports middle school students, specifically working with a caseload of 15-20 students in grades 5 through 8. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist certified speech-language pathologists in implementing treatment plans
- Work directly with students in individual and group sessions to support speech and language development
- Monitor student progress and document observations and outcomes
- Collaborate closely with educators and school staff to integrate speech-language activities within the classroom setting
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to individualized education program (IEP) development and review
Qualifications:
- Experience as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in school settings preferred
- Ability to manage a middle school caseload and adapt approaches for diverse student needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, families, and school personnel
- Commitment to supporting student success and fostering positive learning environments
