Key Qualifications:
- Holds ASHA Certification and ABSESPA Licensure
- Valid Professional Educator Certification for Alabama
- Meets all state-specific licensure requirements for SLPAs, including fingerprinting
- Previous experience in school settings or with pediatric populations is valued
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Implement treatment plans and carry out speech-language therapy activities under the supervision of a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Support students’ progress and document responses to interventions
- Assist with the preparation of therapy materials and maintain accurate records
- Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and supervising clinicians
- Adapt sessions to meet the diverse needs of students across assigned locations
This contract role is entirely in-person, allowing you to interact directly with students and staff and experience the fulfillment that comes from hands-on support.
