Located in the Baltimore area of Maryland, this on-site Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position offers the opportunity to support PreK through 5th-grade students across two elementary schools. This contract role runs from mid-February through the end of May 2026, with the possibility to extend through a four-week ESY session in July.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy services to elementary-aged students with speech and language needs at two assigned schools: Magnolia Elementary (3 days per week, Tuesday-Thursday) and Prospect Mill Elementary (2 days per week, Monday-Wednesday)
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, and other professionals to support individualized education plans
- Maintain accurate therapy documentation and progress reports in compliance with school district requirements
- Adhere to House Bill 486 for district background checks, fingerprinting, and employment history reviews
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Maryland professional licensure as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant
- Experience working in educational settings supporting elementary-aged students (PreK-5th grade)
- Ability to commit to 37.5 hours per week on-site across assigned schools
- Compliance with all state and district credentialing standards, including time-sensitive background checks
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with children and school personnel
