Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or similar field required
- Valid SLPA license or eligibility for licensure
- Previous experience supporting speech and language therapy in a school setting preferred
- Comfortable working with diverse student populations from Pre-K through high school
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, adaptable to a team-oriented atmosphere
- Organized, dependable, and able to multitask in a dynamic educational setting
- Familiarity with IEP documentation and therapy data collection is beneficial
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement speech and language therapy activities under the supervision of licensed SLPs
- Support the delivery of services as outlined in students’ IEPs
- Assist with screening, assessment, and progress monitoring of students’ communication skills
- Maintain accurate documentation of student performance and session attendance
- Collaborate with educators, specialists, and families to ensure the success of each student
- Prepare or modify instructional materials used during therapy sessions
- Participate in professional development and team meetings as needed
