Qualifications:
- Valid Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) licensure in Texas
- Previous experience supporting speech/language therapy in a school environment preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
- Passion for working with elementary-age students
- Ability to thrive working independently and as part of a team
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement speech and language therapy plans developed by the supervising Speech Language Pathologist
- Work directly with elementary students to strengthen their language, articulation, fluency, and social communication abilities
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide regular updates to supervising SLPs and school staff
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute valuable input for ongoing treatment
- Foster a positive, encouraging environment where students feel empowered to develop their skills
- Collaborate with teachers and parents to ensure continuity of care in and out of the classroom
