School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Wilmington, North Carolina
An exciting contract opportunity is available for an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) near Wilmington, NC! This immediate opening is to provide FMLA coverage in an elementary school setting, with the assignment running through December 18, 2026. In this role, you will serve a varied caseload, working with students who have needs ranging from articulation and language support to those utilizing augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices. Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility for licensure) as an SLP
- Experience with elementary-aged students preferred
- Familiarity with AAC devices and strategies
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in elementary students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Work collaboratively with teachers, school teams, and parents/guardians to support student achievement
- Provide direct and consultative therapy services
- Maintain thorough progress documentation and data collection
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team planning
