Travel Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Wilmington, DE
Positions are available for Onsite Speech-Language Pathologists to support summer 2026 Extended School Year (ESY) programs in Wilmington, DE. This travel opportunity offers a rewarding experience working with diverse student populations across multiple school settings within the district.
Assignments begin between June 22 and June 23, 2026, and conclude on August 7, 2026. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, with varied hours depending on the specific site:
- PS DuPont Elementary & Secondary: Student hours 8:00 AM–2:30 PM; staff hours 7:30 AM–3:00 PM
- ESY Secondary: Student hours 8:00 AM–12:00 PM; staff hours 7:30 AM–12:30 PM
- SITE Program (Ages 18–22): Student hours 7:45 AM–2:15 PM; staff hours 7:15 AM–2:45 PM
- Early Childhood Education (Bush location): Student hours 8:30 AM–11:00 AM; staff hours 8:00 AM–11:30 AM
Four openings are available, and candidates can select the site(s) that best fit their interests and expertise. Candidates must hold a valid Delaware SLP license, and Clinical Fellows are welcome to apply, though Speech-Language Pathology Assistants will not be considered.
Key qualifications:
- Licensed SLP with Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Experience working with school-age and early childhood students
- Familiarity with special education and entitlement programs
- Ability to collaborate with educational teams and provide individualized support
Additional information:
- Candidates are responsible for an $85 fingerprinting background check fee
- Option to combine with 2026–2027 school year assignments if desired
- Positions focus on summer ESY programs but may be adjusted
