School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist - Bear, Delaware

Speech-Language Pathologist position available for the 2026-2027 school year, located in Wilmington, DE. This contract role supports a diverse student population across multiple grade levels, from early childhood to high school, within a structured school setting. The position offers an excellent opportunity for certified SLPs and those holding a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) interested in delivering in-person services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services to students across early childhood, elementary, middle, and high school settings.
- Manage caseloads ranging from itinerant early intervention to general education support and specialized evaluation responsibilities.
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop individualized treatment plans and contribute to student progress monitoring.
- Perform district evaluations and participate in team meetings to support student needs.
- Maintain thorough documentation and comply with district and state regulations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Delaware Speech-Language Pathologist license required.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or appropriate school-based SLP certification.
- Strong skills in speech-language evaluation, with the ability to manage increasing caseloads throughout the academic year.
- Experience working in school settings preferred.
- Candidates must be available for a start date of August 26, 2026, with possible early start for professional development.
Work Schedule:
- Monday through Friday with scheduled hours varying by grade level:
- Early Childhood: 8:25 AM – 3:55 PM
- Elementary School: 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Middle School: 7:40 AM – 3:10 PM
- High School: 7:15 AM – 2:45 PM
- 37.5 hours per week including a 30-minute paid lunch.
