Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist in Newport News, VA

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations to identify fine motor, sensory processing, visual-motor, and self-regulation needs
- Design and implement individualized goals and accommodations within students’ IEPs and 504 plans
- Deliver direct therapy services, both via push-in support and targeted sessions
- Consult and collaborate closely with teachers, special education professionals, and caregivers
- Recommend and adapt classroom equipment and setups to foster greater independence
- Track progress meticulously through documentation and regularly monitor goal achievement
Desired Qualifications:
- Active or eligible license as an Occupational Therapist in the state
- NBCOT certification preferred
- Background in pediatric or school-based therapy is strongly valued
- Familiarity with assistive technologies and sensory-based interventions is an advantage
