School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Whittier, California

Step into an engaging school-based setting as a Speech-Language Pathologist, working full-time with students in the LA area! This position is ideal for passionate SLPs ready to make an impact during the upcoming academic year, serving a diverse student population with caseloads averaging 55-60 students. You’ll provide therapeutic support across 1 to 4 school sites (with a guaranteed cap of no more than 20 miles or 1 hour of commute), ensuring you have the time and energy to focus on what matters most—the students.
This opportunity is offered through a contract, beginning August 11, 2026, and running through June 4, 2027. Daily hours are 7:30am–4:00pm (no part-time option at this time). Please note: supervision must be in place to link Clinical Fellows; at this stage, only SLPs or Clinical Fellows with named supervisors will be considered.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (required)
- Active, posted CA SLP license
- Valid CTC document: Preliminary or Clear SLP credential or Certificate of Clearance
- CCC or CF considered (if supervision is arranged)
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Experience with school-based caseloads preferred
- Assessment materials costs (approx. $2,500) will be reimbursed
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy services to assigned caseload across elementary, middle, and/or high school students
- Conduct thorough evaluations and develop targeted therapy plans
- Collaborate closely with on-site case managers, educators, and families
- Support students’ communication goals in both individual and group settings
- Attend team meetings and maintain timely documentation
