Speech Language Pathologist in Whitehall, PA

Make a meaningful impact by delivering speech-language services as a contract SLP supporting preschool early intervention programs in Carbon or Lehigh County. This opportunity offers a varied caseload, flexibility, and the chance to collaborate within a dynamic school-based team. Assignments primarily involve providing itinerant speech services to preschoolers, with the potential to serve school-aged students during the academic year. Enjoy a schedule of 35 hours per week aligned with an early intervention school calendar running from July to June.
Qualifications:
- Active Pennsylvania Speech-Language Pathologist license
- Certification as SLP-CCC and SLP credential specific to Pennsylvania schools (Instructional I or II)
- Experience in school-based or early intervention settings preferred
- Willingness and adaptability to work with PreK-12 students as assignments may change during the school year
- Strong communication, organizational, and record-keeping skills
- Reliable in-person attendance and ability to travel within Carbon or Lehigh County
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language services to preschool and, possibly, school-aged students as needed
- Conduct screenings, assessments, and therapy in accordance with students’ individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, educators, and families to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes
- Participate in IEP meetings, case conferences, and ongoing professional development
- Remain flexible and responsive to changes in caseload and assignment locations
