Qualifications:
- Current and valid Virginia Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) licensure is required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Previous experience in school settings preferred
- Proficiency with teletherapy platforms and technology
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with students, staff, and families
- Ability to manage varied caseloads across elementary, middle, and high school grade levels
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for students ages K-12
- Create and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), setting achievable goals for each student
- Deliver direct therapeutic interventions, using both in-person and teletherapy modalities
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other specialists to support student development
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services, assessments, and progress reports
- Provide guidance to educators and staff on strategies to support communication needs in the classroom
This contract assignment begins as soon as possible and runs through May 18, 2027, with a steady schedule of 37.5 hours per week. You'll have the opportunity to meaningfully impact diverse learners and contribute to a supportive educational environment.
