A specialized opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide services during the Extended School Year (ESY) program at a high school setting designed for students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other learning differences. This contract position runs from July 6, 2026, to August 7, 2026, with the possibility of extension for the 2026-2027 school year based on performance.
Location & Schedule:
- Assignment takes place in Ludlow, MA, within the Compass High Program at a local high school.
- Hours: 15-20 hours per week, distributed over 2-3 days, accommodating a part-time schedule that supports work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted speech-language services focusing on augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) support, though AAC evaluations are not required.
- Work collaboratively within a specialized educational setting tailored to promote independence and skill-building for students with ASD and learning differences.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with state requirements and program goals.
- Monitor progress and adjust interventions to meet student needs effectively.
Qualifications:
- Valid SLP certification, meeting all state-specific credential requirements.
- Experience in school-based SLP services, preferably including work with high school-aged students.
- Familiarity with AAC strategies and delivering services to students with ASD in specialized education settings.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to engage with students, educators, and clinicians.
