Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – In-Person Contract Position – New Britain, CT
This contract opportunity offers a rewarding role providing speech-language therapy services in an educational setting, beginning immediately and continuing through June 10, 2025. The position supports students starting the school year on August 28, serving Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten learners across two schools within the district.
Work Schedule & Location:
- Full-time, in-person position (35 hours/week)
- Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM with a 30-minute unpaid lunch
- Assignment at two school locations in New Britain, CT
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver individualized speech-language therapy targeting assistive technology, augmentative communication, social language skills, articulation, voice, oral-motor function, feeding, and both receptive and expressive language development delays
- Conduct diagnostic and evaluation testing within guidelines
- Prepare detailed and insightful reports on student assessments and observations
- Develop, maintain, and monitor Individualized Education Program (IEP) objectives
- Collaborate effectively with parents, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current certification or eligibility for certification from Connecticut Department of Public Health (DPH)
- Valid teaching certificate from Connecticut Department of Education (DOE)
- Experience in school settings preferred but not required
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Flexibility and strong problem-solving abilities are essential
