This opportunity is for a full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) position serving K-12 students within multiple school sites across the Elgin, IL area. The contract runs from January 5, 2026, through May 20, 2026, with a weekly schedule of 37.5 hours (7.5 hours per day). Some assignments may involve itinerant work across up to two schools, with caseloads focused primarily on early childhood settings.
Key qualifications and requirements include:
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with SLP endorsement
- Illinois Speech Language Pathologist license
- Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are highly desirable
- Candidates with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CF) will be considered if appropriate supervision can be provided
Work locations include:
- IL Park (Early Childhood) – approximately 2.0 FTE
- Independence (Early Childhood) – approximately 0.2 FTE
- Timber Trails Elementary (Early Childhood) – approximately 0.4 FTE
- Itinerant evaluation services – approximately 0.1 FTE
Primary job responsibilities involve:
- Conducting speech and language evaluations and therapy for a varied caseload of early childhood students
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized plans and supports
- Providing direct services in multiple school settings as assigned
Competitive pay rates are offered based on experience:
- $55–58 per hour for 0–2 years of experience
- $58–61 per hour for 3–5 years of experience
- $61–64 per hour for 6–9 years of experience
- $64–67 per hour for 10+ years of experience
