Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech and Language Pathologist, supporting students in a picturesque rural community. Two positions are available—one focused on traveling to various rural schools serving students from Transitional Kindergarten through 8th grade, and another based at a single site working with preschoolers aged 3-5. As part of a dedicated special education team, you'll collaborate closely with two fellow SLPs and one SLPA, ensuring every student receives high-quality, personalized speech and language support.
Compensation for this contract role ranges from $55 to $65 per hour, reflecting your valuable expertise and commitment to student development.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current and valid state licensure and credentials to practice in educational settings.
- Previous experience in school-based settings preferred, with a strong ability to support students across a range of grade levels.
- Willingness to travel to rural school sites (for the rural SLP position).
- Excellent communication, diagnostic, and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for assigned caseloads of 35-45 students.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and therapy sessions.
- Collaborate with special education teachers, other SLPs, and the SLPA to coordinate care and student progress.
- Provide both direct and consultative therapy services based on student needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation of progress, and attend meetings as needed.
