A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in an elementary school setting serving children from ages 3 through 8th grade. This contract position, starting in the current school year, offers the chance to work with one school site located in Coraopolis, PA. The caseload includes students with autism, providing a meaningful environment for SLPs who have experience with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech-language services to students ages 3-8th grade with diverse communication needs, including autism spectrum disorders.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers to support student progress.
  • Utilize AAC devices effectively to enhance communication development.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reports consistent with state and school regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology is required.
  • Experience working in school settings with children, preferably ages 3-8th grade.
  • Proven skills in managing caseloads involving autism spectrum disorders.
  • Proficiency in AAC device application and training.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
