School Speech Language Pathologist - Warrenton, NC
Make an impact as a Speech Language Pathologist dedicated to supporting school-aged children and their communication needs. This full-time contract opportunity runs through the 2026-2027 academic year, with immediate start available. You’ll work a consistent Monday through Friday schedule (37.5 hours per week), collaborating with students and staff near Warrenton, NC. Your expertise will help students achieve their full potential in both academic and social settings.
Key Qualifications:
- Active North Carolina SLP license required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Previous experience in a school-based setting
- Proficiency with assistive listening technology
- Ability to adapt to various caseloads and grade levels
- Strong communication skills for working with students, parents/caregivers, and colleagues
- Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect speech and language therapy to students
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the education team
- Evaluate, diagnose, and create intervention plans for students with speech, language, and communication challenges
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Consult with teachers and families to support student success
- Incorporate assistive listening technologies into therapy and student accommodations
