School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Warren, Michigan
Take on a vital role supporting students as a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist with this onsite contract opportunity in the Detroit area. You'll have the chance to work with a diverse caseload, all within manageable state guidelines—allowing you to deliver quality services and meaningful progress for each student you serve.
In this position, you will:
- Work a consistent, full-time schedule (37.5 hours per week) during the 2026-2027 academic year
- Partner closely with a collaborative school team to support student communication goals
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to determine student needs and eligibility
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Maintain careful documentation and timely communication with families and staff
- Serve a caseload that remains comfortably below Michigan’s state maximum of 60
- Provide direct therapy and progress monitoring in a supportive, educational environment
The ideal candidate will have:
- A valid Michigan SLP license with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Experience with school-based speech therapy strongly preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration
- Familiarity with IEP development, student assessments, and special education processes
- Commitment to supporting communication, academic, and social growth among diverse student populations
