Openings involve working on-site in one or two schools per assignment, with caseloads ranging from early childhood to high school. Many positions are part of collaborative teams, though some offer the autonomy of being the sole SLP on campus. Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current, active SLP licensure in Florida (CCC preferred)
- Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred
- Comfort working with diverse student populations, including ASD, EBD, and InD units
- Fingerprinting completion or eligibility for DOH transfer
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy and diagnostic services to students
- Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with student teams
- Maintain comprehensive documentation and progress reports
- Consult with teachers and staff to support generalization of skills
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress
