A contract position is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in Palm City, FL, supporting a school district along the Southeast Florida Coast. This role provides an opportunity for both full-time and part-time schedules, with assignments at one or two schools based on placement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations, with a focus on helping the district complete backlog assessments.
- Provide specialized evaluations for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
- Collaborate with onsite SLPs and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs).
- Support academic communication goals within K-8 settings, including Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) clusters and ASD units.
Qualifications:
- Current, active SLP licensure.
- Experience conducting evaluations for Autism students is essential.
- Ability to work onsite in Port St. Lucie and Ft. Pierce, FL.
- Compliance with fingerprinting and credentialing requirements.
Locations and Schedule Options:
- Oak Hammock K-8, Port St. Lucie, FL: 2 days per week; DHH cluster site.
- CA Moore K-7 and FK Sweet Elementary, Ft. Pierce, FL: Full-time split between two schools or part-time at one; FK Sweet includes an ASD unit.
Assignment Duration:
- Immediate start with an end date of June 2, 2026.
