Pediatric School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Ventura, California

Step into a rewarding contract role supporting preschool students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in beautiful California. This dynamic opportunity lets you make a lasting impact in early childhood education, working across multiple school locations and collaborating with an experienced SLP already on-site. Caseloads are manageable—up to 50 delightful children ages 3 to 5—offering the chance to deliver high-quality therapy and see real progress. The position runs full-time from ASAP through June 17, 2026, providing important continuity through the academic year.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Holds state licensure as an SLP or is eligible for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) highly desirable
- Experience in school settings with pediatric populations, preferably with preschoolers
- Comfort with teletherapy platforms, such as Google Meet, for virtual collaboration or sessions
- Willingness to work effectively with support staff, including Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA)
- Strong skills in assessment, intervention planning, and maintaining detailed documentation
- Open to serving in environments where occupational therapy (OT) needs may arise
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive evaluations, develop tailored treatment plans, and deliver speech-language services for preschoolers
- Manage caseloads efficiently across several school sites, with support from another on-site SLP
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student communication needs
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to goal development
- Incorporate technology for therapy and meetings as needed
- Maintain compliance with all state and school documentation policies
