This role serves multiple school sites, managing a caseload of up to 50 students with another speech-language pathologist onsite for collaboration and support. You’ll play a vital role in nurturing early communication development, working alongside other professionals such as occupational therapists to meet a range of student needs.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- California licensure or eligibility as an SLP, SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY, or SLPA
- Experience in school-based or healthcare settings working with children ages 3-5 is strongly preferred
- Background in teletherapy considered an asset
- Familiarity with preschool assessment, intervention, and IEP process
- Strong organizational skills to manage a diverse caseload
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and provide direct therapy services for preschool students
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other support staff to facilitate student progress
- Maintain thorough documentation in accordance with school and legal requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and team planning sessions
- Adapt interventions across a variety of school environments
- Work closely with another SLP and support the multidisciplinary team, including OT professionals
