Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Venice, Florida
Make a difference in the lives of students as a Speech-Language Pathologist working within a supportive school environment near Venice, FL! This full-time contract position offers the chance to positively impact learners from PreK through age 22, where your expertise in pediatrics and schools will be valued and fostered from now until June 1, 2026.
In this role, you’ll work with a caseload of approximately 60 students, many with moderate to severe needs as well as some behavioral challenges. You’ll have the support of an SLPA to help provide direct and consultative speech and language services, supervise as needed, conduct evaluations, administer Medicaid documentation, and attend IEP meetings. The school provides a dedicated therapy space and ensures you have essential resources for success.
Qualifications & Experience Desired:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid SLP license in Florida, with ASHA CCC or current CFY status
- Experience with pediatric and school-based populations preferred
- Ability to supervise SLPAs and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Comfort working with students with moderate/severe needs and behavioral issues
